Due to a confluence of multiple serious medical conditions and other worldly obstacles, I am formally suspending weekly transmission of JOHN DELANEY’S ASTROSCOPE backdated to Labor Day, September 2, 2024.  I will continue to write and to transmit astrology copy, but not to the extensive degree that I have for the past 29 years.

When I began to write JOHN DELANEY’S ASTROSCOPE on January 1, 1995, one local newspaper, The Manhattan Mirror, published me. Some three or four months later, another local African-American newspaper, The Brooklyn Advocate, later called The New York World, began to publish me. Publication in the AAN (Association of Alternative Newsweeklies) followed in 1997.

Since 2006, publication of JOHN DELANEY’S ASTROSCOPE has been sparse. I continued to pursue newspaper publication and will continue to do so going forward.

However, as time progressed, the mission of JOHN DELANEY’S ASTROSCOPE evolved. Simultaneous with my foray into astrological research of recently named and unnamed planets, I began to investigate, to pitch newspapers concerning, to write and on occasion to publish astrological analyses of cities, states, provinces, elections and historical events. However, neither my business model nor my purpose in writing JOHN DELANEY’S ASTROSCOPE has evolved with such expansion. This step is overdue.

I am still available for consultations.

I hope you have enjoyed JOHN DELANEY’S ASTROSCOPE over the years and appreciate your support. Feel free to contact me with any and all inquiries.

As I recover physically, I'm finishing outstanding outlines from 2024.

I don't post everything to the Centaur Board. I will be posting backdated Astroscopes that have significance regarding the continuity of my research and analyses of Centaurs/Plutinos.

In many but not all cases, I will write these Astroscopes after the transit is completely ended, and based upon what just happened, both in current events and with me. I'll note these specifically as backdated.

I have done this on occasion in the past, but there will be several in a row over the next few weeks. These will include Hylonome, Echeclus and Thereus, to name some.

When I'm done, I'll form new outlines for upcoming columns.

Thanks. .

THE 2025 ANNUAL ASTROSCOPE IS CANCELLED

INTRODUCTION TO
JOHN DELANEY's ASTROSCOPE #1508

Pluto in Aquarius transits Retrograde Motion1
from May 4 to October 15, 2025.

Individuals unfamiliar with the discipline of astrological analysis – and this may include people who have been reading their horoscope in astrology columns for decades – have no idea of the enormous significance of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction2 at 0 degrees Aquarius of December 21, 2020. The December 2020 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction2 at 0 degrees Aquarius, the first of three upcoming Aquarian Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions2 sixty years apart, will dominate (amongst other air sign Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions2 the world at large, astrologically, through Halloween 2219, when Jupiter conjuncts2 Saturn between 14 and 15 degrees Scorpio. The last time the entire extent of this cycle occurred was between the 13th and 15th centuries, from when Jupiter conjuncted2 Saturn at degrees Aquarius from March 5, 1226 to when Jupiter conjuncted2 Saturn between 12 and 13 degrees Scorpio on August 26, 1425.

God himself, having made man in his image (literally through the Book of Genesis or metaphorically via Darwin’s evolution), understands that mankind is myopic in the extreme. What larger society considers “the COVID-19 quarantine” from 2019 to 2022 astrologers consider as an extended balsamic phase of the previous Jupiter-Saturn conjunction2 cycle in earth signs. This previous cycle started with the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction2 at 5 degrees Virgo on July 17, 1802. Refer to the Preliminary Statement for 2020, 2021 and 2022 from JOHN DELANEY’S 2022 ANNUAL ASTROSCOPE:

What the current Retrograde1 transit of Pluto, back to, but not across, the most recent, dominant Jupiter-Saturn conjunction2 degree at 0 degrees Aquarius, is emphasizing is the long-term trajectory of society throughout the entire world through 2220. Stop thinking of prominent political faces across the media in remote places. Stop bemoaning the decline of American democracy as a cabal of like-minded individuals. Realize that the decline of American democracy represents an impersonal breakdown of a two-and-a-half century governmental paradigm. Repress a kneejerk inclination to consider how this might affect the price of Nvidia or United Healthcare. And, for God’s sake, stop streaming Taylor Swift on Spotify. This is not about this moment. Think extremely long-term.

INTRODUCTION TO
JOHN DELANEY's
ASTEROID ASTROSCOPE #996

Hylonome,
which exits Aquarius
to enter Capricorn
on June 24, 2025,
continues to transit Capricorn
in Retrograde Motion1
until October 9, 2025.

For all those who know (and all those who do not know) that the United States of America (“U.S.A.”) (July 4, 1776; 4:47 P.M. L.M.T.; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) recently (experienced) (endured) its Pluto Return on February 21, 2022, July 11, 2022 and December 28, 2022, there are even fewer who know (and exponentially more of those who do not know!) that the U.S.A. is now (experiencing) (enduring) its Hylonome Return on February 26, 2025, July 12, 2025 and December 29, 2025.

Is this important? Well, that depends upon one’s perspective. (After all, California Institute of Technology (“CIT”) astronomer Mike Brown “demoted” Pluto as a planet, so how important & influential can Pluto be? Accordingly, how important & influential can Hylonome possibly be?) Nevertheless, CIT astronomer Brown’s “demotion” & opinion notwithstanding, Pluto conjuncts2 Hylonome, somewhat widely (two degrees), both in late Capricorn, which rules government, cities & venerable, established, entrenched economic institutions, in the U.S.A. Natal Horoscope.

These two planets (name them what you will) fall along the continuum of transformation & debasement. Pluto demands that one do & think the right way over time. If one does, one transforms; if one does not, one debases. Hylonome cries for help or heeds the cry for help; if whoever can provide help provides no help, suffering turns into absolute demise.

The fact that Hylonome falls at 29 degrees, the aneretic degree, only exacerbates the acute suffering, and the urgent need for immediate & sustained assistance.
